Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty. Otolaryngology diseases and can be seen in people of age or gender. Otolaryngology can be diagnosed with a coded physical examination, which means that the nose and throat specialists adopt a patient with a practical dental care.

What does the ENT department deal with?  An Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) specialist has been trained on disorders related to the head and neck as well as the mentioned organs. It is in the form of ear, nose, nasal tract, sinuses, larynx, mouth, upper pharynx, salivary glands, troites that fall within the scope of the ENT section.


What diseases does the ENT department look at?

Ear Diseases

The otolaryngologist is trained in both medical and surgical treatment methods of ear related disorders. These include hearing problems, ear infection, balance problems, facial or cranial nerve disorders, problems with the outer ear and inner ear. Ear-related diseases; Tinnitus, earwax, fluid accumulation in the ear, external auditory canal inflammation, acute middle ear inflammation, hearing loss. In addition to these, ENT specialist deals with problems such as ear tumors, ear pain, ear discharge, ear bleeding.

Nose Diseases

The Otolaryngologist deals with issues such as runny nose and flu, nasal deformity, nasal curvature, bleeding from the nose, smell disorders, nasal aesthetics, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis.

Throat Diseases

Upper respiratory and digestive tract or digestive tract diseases and problems related to the structure of the larynx are also included in the scope of the Otolaryngologist. This includes disorders related to voice, breathing, and swallowing. Throat related diseases are sleep apnea, pharyngitis, tonsils, snoring, tonsillitis. The ENT specialist will also perform tonsil surgery.

Head and Neck Diseases

Otolaryngologists intervene in infections and tumors in the head and neck structures. They are also trained for the treatment of facial trauma and facial deformities.
